Interview met Blueprint Gaming over de Nederlandse gokmarkt
Blueprint Gaming is inmiddels een gevestige naam in de wereld van online gokkasten. De slots van deze ontwikkelaar scoren hoog in de lijstjes van populaire titels bij TOTO Casino, met onder andere King Kong Cash en Gold Strike.
Wij spraken exclusief met Daniel Kalinowski, Affiliate & Social Media Manager, over alle ontwikeklingen op de Nederlandse gokmarkt.
Betfans.nl: Nederland is een relatief nieuw gereguleerde markt. Wat waren de belangrijkste overwegingen voor Blueprint bij het verkrijgen van een Nederlandse licentie?
Daniel Kalinowski: Het belangrijkste bij het betreden van een markt zijn de partners waarmee je gaat samenwerken. Onze operators in elke markt waar onze spellen aanwezig zijn, zijn de koplopers in hun gebied en kennen de regelgeving als geen ander. Blueprint is altijd trots geweest op onze partnerschappen, en onze groei is sterk afhankelijk van die relaties. Natuurlijk hebben we ons eigen Compliance-team dat ongelooflijk werk levert om ervoor te zorgen dat we de regelgeving volgen, maar zonder de steun van onze operators zou ons werk veel moeilijker zijn. Kortom, het opbouwen van sterke banden met je operators is essentieel bij het betreden van een nieuwe markt.
Wat maakt de Nederlandse markt uniek als het gaat om voorkeuren van spelers?
Wat de Nederlandse markt zo bijzonder maakt, is de sterke aanwezigheid van streamers en affiliates. Na met enkelen van hen te hebben gewerkt, kan ik zeggen dat hun professionaliteit en creativiteit indrukwekkend zijn. Ze leveren hoogwaardige content en weten hun community’s op een originele manier te betrekken.
De gemiddelde Nederlandse speler is bovendien goed geïnformeerd. Ze zijn bekend met de iGaming-industrie en zoeken doelgericht naar kwalitatief hoogwaardige spellen die aansluiten op hun interesses.
Welke Blueprint-games zijn op dit moment het populairst onder Nederlandse spelers?
De hoge mate van spelerskennis zien we terug in de verwachtingen die zij stellen aan spellen. In Nederland zien we dat onder andere Cash Strike Hotstepper, Power Up en Big Catch Even Bigger Bass 2 het bijzonder goed doen.
Deze titels bevatten de nieuwste versies van onze Cash Strike– en Cash Collect-mechanieken. Dat bevestigt voor ons dat het belangrijk is om spelers voortdurend te blijven verrassen met innovatieve content – alleen zo blijven we het vertrouwen waard.
Wat is jouw persoonlijke favoriete Blueprint-spel dat je zou aanraden aan Nederlandse spelers?
The Flintstones is persoonlijk een van mijn favoriete licenties waar we mee werken. Het bevat veel van dezelfde sterke elementen als bijvoorbeeld Big Catch Even Bigger Bass 2, dat momenteel goed scoort in Nederland.
Deze slot bevat ook de Cash Collect-feature en diverse spannende modifiers, waardoor elke spin anders aanvoelt. Het is echt een opvallende Blueprint-release met een sterk, herkenbaar thema.
Wat staat er de komende tijd op de planning voor Blueprint? Kun je alvast iets delen over nieuwe releases of innovaties waar Nederlandse spelers naar uit kunnen kijken?
Op 19 juni lanceren we Majestic Fury Unleashed. Deze titel is al behoorlijk succesvol gebleken in andere delen van Europa, en we verwachten dat hij ook in Nederland goed zal presteren.
De game bevat de nieuwste versie van ons Cash Collect-mechanisme, wat in Nederland erg populair is. We zijn dan ook erg benieuwd hoe het spel ontvangen wordt.
Tot slot, wat zijn de belangrijkste doelen en ambities van Blueprint voor de komende jaren, zowel in Nederland als internationaal?
We zien een mooie groei in Nederland én in de rest van Europa. Onze ambitie is om die groei voort te zetten met meer samenwerkingen en een breder spelaanbod.
Onze Nederlandse partners – zowel operators als affiliates – zijn vooruitstrevend en proberen continu nieuwe, innovatieve dingen. Het is een genoegen om met hen samen te werken en deel uit te maken van die ontwikkeling.

The Netherlands is a relatively newly regulated market. What were the main considerations for Blueprint in obtaining a Dutch license?
The main thing to consider when entering a market are the partners you will work with. Our operators in any market our games are present in are the champions of the area they cover, and they know the regulations like nobody else. Blueprint always took great pride in our partnerships, and our growth is highly dependent on those relationships. We of course have our own Compliance team who do incredible work in making sure that we follow the regulations, but if we didn’t have the support of our operators, it would make our work much harder. So, to conclude, making strong connections with your operators is key when entering a new market.
Regarding player preferences, what makes the Dutch market unique?
One of the most exciting things about the Dutch market are the streamers and affiliates active in that space. Having met and worked with some of them it is impressive how high quality their services are and how creative they are in providing the best and most interesting services to their communities.
In effect, the average Dutch player is a highly informed consumer who knows a lot about the igaming industry, so they seek out high quality products to match their interest.
Which Blueprint games are proving to be the biggest hits with Dutch players right now?
Speaking of highly informed players, we see that reflected in the level of expectations when we look at some of the most successful Blueprint game in Netherlands, like Cash Strike Hotstepper and Power Up, or Big Catch Even Bigger Bass 2. Those games represent the most up to date Cash Strike and Cash Collect game mechanics we offer, which shows us that we must keep on presenting our content further to retain that trust.
What is your personal favorite Blueprint game that you would recommend to Dutch players?
The Flintstones is one of my favourite licenses that we work with, and I think that it has a lot of the same good stuff as games like Big Catch Even Bigger Bass 2, which is proving to be a success in Netherlands. This slot also has the Cash Collect mechanic and a bunch of exciting modifiers that make each spin feel more varied, making it a standout Blueprint release with a great theme.
Looking ahead, what’s on the horizon for Blueprint? Can you share any insights into upcoming releases or innovations that Dutch players can get excited about?
Majestic Fury Unleashed is being released later this month on 19th of June. This theme has enjoyed a fair bit of success in Europe, and we hope to see it grow further. The game also includes the latest iteration of our Cash Collect model that is proving to be a sought-after experience in Netherlands so we are excited to see how it will perform.
Finally, what are Blueprint’s main goals and ambitions for the coming years, both in the Netherlands and internationally?
We love seeing the growth in Netherlands as well as in the rest of Europe, so we will be aiming to grow our presence in that region with more partners and more games. I think that our Dutch partners, whether in business or the affiliate world, are forward thinking people who are trying new and exciting things, so it’s a pleasure to be present on that journey with them.
